Our Story

Founded on September 16, 2011,  H. Allen Hight PTA  was established to address a critical and growing need in our school community: There was a need for a parent teacher association Is to positively Impact the lives of all children and families by representing our members and empowering and supporting them with skills in advocacy, leadership, and communication.

What began as a small, passionate group of volunteers meeting at  H. Allen Hight Elementary  in Sacramento has grown into a dedicated 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to creating sustainable, long-term change.

Through early initiatives, we realized that temporary fixes were not enough. To truly empower our community, we needed to establish an organized, transparent framework that could consistently provide resources, education, and advocacy to those who need it most. Today, we remain deeply rooted in our founding values, adapting our strategies to meet new challenges while keeping our community at the absolute center of everything we do.

Allen Hight PTA, our mission is to positively Impact the lives of all children and families by representing our members and empowering and supporting them with skills in advocacy, leadership, and communication. We operate under the firm belief that every child deserves an equal opportunity to thrive, regardless of their socioeconomic background.

Our vision for the future is a community is to partner with our community to set high expectations for academic achievement, rooted in equity and unity, to create supportive learning experiences where all students, families, and staff can excel and thrive.
We work toward this vision daily by designing measurable, impactful programs, collaborating with local partners, and fostering a culture of inclusivity, transparency, and deep mutual respect.

Our Leadership Team

H. Allen Hight PTA is guided by a passionate leadership team and a voluntary Board of Directors who ensure our operations are effective, legally compliant, and financially accountable.

Legal Status & Transparency

H. Allen Hight PTA is an officially recognized public charity exempt from federal income tax under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Our official Employer Identification Number (EIN) is 90-0415952. We are fully committed to financial transparency and public accountability; all of our charitable activities are conducted in strict compliance with state and federal regulations governing non-profit entities.
